Photo Screen Print Workshop

Come along to the PP studio, nestled amongst the trees just outside Constantine, Falmouth. Learn how to expose images, text and drawings on to a screen using photo emulsion. I use this process for printing the designs for my products, it's fantastic for producing fine details and being able to print a range of colours all from one stencil.

We use a photographic stencil technique rather than hand cut paper stencils.  I ask participants to prepare some artwork in advance of the course, although there will be time for preparing artwork on the day too, as we explore different techniques for this exciting process.

This is a day workshop, where you will learn how to: coat the screen with the photo emulsion; produce artwork for transfer onto the screen; transfer artwork onto the screen using the exposure and washout units; mixing ink, instruction into building the image through layers within the screen print process, and print on to a range of fabric and paper. You will leave with a range of printed papers and fabrics, including a ready made cushion and tote bags. The lovely thing about this process as you can print your design in lots of different colours!

Tea, coffee, homemade cake, and biscuits will be provided, but please bring along a pack lunch.

All details about artwork preparation, directions and what to bring will be emailed upon receipt of booking.

This workshop is ideal for beginners or as refreshers for people with some experience of screen printing. 4 places available per workshop.
