Screenprint on fabric and make a lampshade

Come along to the Particle Press Studio and learn how to screen print on to fabric, and then turn it in to a lampshade. The day will be split in to two, with printing in the morning and making the shade in the afternoon.

In the morning you will learn how to cut a repeat pattern stencil, mix ink, and print on to fabric. Not only will you print your fabric panel, you will also print some panels to take home and turn in to a matching cushion, make further lampshades, or keep for future sewing projects!

In the afternoon you will learn how to make and roll a 30cm drum shade, which can either hang from the ceiling or become a table lamp. All materials are included, although you are welcome to bring along any fabric that you'd like to print on! Tea, coffee, homemade cake, and biscuits will be provided, but please bring along a pack lunch.

All details, including directions will be emailed upon receipt of booking.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginers. 4 places available per workshop, minimum age for children is 12 years old.
